When installing a weighing system, the installation method and requirements for the weighing sensors are crucial. The general principle during installation is to construct horizontally and vertically.
1. Weighing sensor

(1) The important components of the entire weighing system are weighing sensors and display instruments, which play the main role in displaying weight and transmitting signals. The source of the weighing system is the weighing sensor, so the selection of the weighing sensor determines whether the weighing result is accurate.
(2) Most of the weighing sensors on the market still use resistance strain gauges. The resistance strain gauges, lead wires, welding points, etc. are very small, so both mechanical and electrical strength are relatively fragile. Any accidental operation such as falling, impact, or overload during use may damage the weighing sensor and lose its measuring performance. Therefore, during the storage, handling, testing, installation, and other processes of weighing sensors, they should be handled with care and certain protective measures should be taken. When installing larger weighing sensors, a rigid substitute of equal height can be used to find the installation position first, and then the weighing sensor can be installed; After installation, its appearance should be kept free of scratches. Scratches, etc.
(3) When selecting a weighing sensor, the form, rated capacity, load, and load-bearing form of the weighing sensor should be considered for matching; It is also necessary to fully consider the impact load, corresponding vibration, and resonance effects, and it is more standardized to select sensors based on these factors.
(4) Developing strict adherence to the instructions for using weighing sensors and carrying out daily maintenance of sensors in strict accordance with installation and maintenance process documents is a prerequisite for correct operation and ensuring accurate weighing
2. Requirements and installation precautions for the base of the symmetrical weight sensor
In practical use on site, in order to fix the weighing sensor, it is generally used with a fixed base; One end of the sensor is connected to the carrier, and the other end is installed on a fixed base. The strength and stiffness of the base and carrier should be higher than those of the weighing sensor itself, and deformation should not occur during weighing. The bearing base surface must be certified and undergo mechanical processing. Its size, position, shape, flatness, and surface roughness should meet the requirements of the installation process.

The bearing direction of the weighing sensor has been determined at the time of entry. In order to ensure the accuracy of the weighing sensor, it is important to ensure that the line of action of the load coincides with the force axis of the weighing sensor during installation, so as to reduce the influence of tilting and eccentric forces.
In a site where multiple weighing sensors are used, in order to ensure that the load borne by each weighing sensor is basically the same, the installation surfaces of all weighing sensors should be on the same horizontal line.
(1) The pressure type weighing sensor should be installed with its main axis perpendicular to the lower bearing surface and pressure pad, and pass through their center. The base should be flat and clean; During installation, try to use a level with an accuracy of one thousandth to adjust the installation surface vertically and horizontally.
(2) When installing a pull type weighing sensor, it is important to ensure that the upper and lower support points are on the same vertical line. A vertical suspension line should be used for inspection and adjustment. When the installation rod connection is missing, structural accessories with automatic reset function, such as spherical bearings, joint bearings, etc., should be used to prevent lateral forces from acting on the weighing sensor and causing inaccurate weighing results.

3) The fixed end plane of the cantilever beam weighing sensor determines the spindle direction and should be strictly controlled.

When installing, it should be noted that the type, style, and direction of force of each sensor are different, so it is not possible to follow the same drilling method and steps. The specific installation method of each product should be installed according to the installation instructions, assembly drawings, and other documents, or consulted with the manufacturer.
